Ezemvelo Private Nature Reserve is situated outside Bronkhorstspruit. Only 1 hour from PTA and JHB. This 10 000 hec. reserve is naturally divided into a 4000 ha
preserved grasslands and associated rocky outcrops and wetlands. Excellent for bird watching. Good day/nature and overnight hiking trails and day visitors
facilities. Big swimming pool and Game drives on your own or guided hikes and drives. Mountain bikes for hire and well
stocked kiosk with some curios and basic necessities. Own mountain bikes welcome.
Accommodation (Hikers and visitors can make use of our):
LAGAES: 8x fully equipped, en suit, 2 - 3 bed Chalets (semi open plan) with all own private amenities and braais outside under big shady trees.
FAMILY MOUNTAIN HUTS: 3x Rustic family huts snuggled into the rocks overlooking a sheer cliff. Each hut has 2 separate bedrooms with 2x beds each, 4x persons
per hut. These 3x huts, (Intshe, Impisi and Itshe lengwe), are totally isolated and secluded. No electricity but all your appliances run on gas. There is a
coldwater shower and flush toilets. The huts are self catering. Bring own bedding / linen and pillows. These huts are definitely for the nature lover who
doesn't mind giving up a few of life's little luxuries.
CARAVAN/TENT CAMP: 50x sites with each their own braai, electricity and water. 2x Modern ablution blocks with family bathroom and laundry facilities.
RIVER HIKERS OVERNIGHT CAMP: Next to the river - 1x hut with 10 bunk beds (sleeps 20) and 1x kitchen with 2-plate gas stove, fridge and cooking utensils
THE MERU CAMP: This camp is ideal for hiker's first night accommodation or can be used as base camp on weekends, doing day circular trails from and back to camp. The
camp sleeps 50 persons. 10x permanent safari canvas tents: bunk beds and mattresses. Bring own bedding/linen: sleeping bags and pillows. Ablutions: Separate
ladies and gents bath rooms: hot and cold water showers, flush toilets and hand basins. Kitchen facilities: 2 plate gas stove, fridge, electricity, electric
lighting. Scullery for dishes etc. Bring own cooking utensils (pots, pans kettle etc) cutlery and crockery. Braai facilities: big enclosed boma and fire places/
grids provided. Bring own braai tongs, forks etc. (Bring own charcoal). There is a huge function hall with tables and chairs available (free of charge) for
booked/ overnight groups. This hall can also be booked by Day visitors at extra cost. Prior bookings are essential. It is ideal for family functions, conferences,

Wood must be ordered and paid for in advance at reception.
The overnight trail starts and finishes at the reception area.
Day 1 trail (12km) and Day 2 (11km) through grassland, small spruitjies, koppies through a kloof towards the overnight camp.
