SEDIBA HIKING TRAIL

Sediba Hiking Trail is situated 6 km from Memel, a tranquil village in the corner of the North Eastern Free State.  It is approximately 240km from Jhb, 47km from Newcastle and 60km from Vrede.

The name Sediba means “fountain water” and gives a good indication of what can be expected on the trail.  The grasslands and Seekoeivlei Wetlands are host to an estimated 350 bird species (230 species already recorded of which 15 are Red Data Species)

The green rolling hills, numerous picturesque mountain streams and weathered rock krans make the area around Memel interesting for the hiker.
