ITENARY & ACCOMMODATION:

  • DAY 1:

  • Stonehenge River Lodge → Wild Olive Guest Farm

  • Your Camino begins beside the Vaal River before heading into the ancient rock formations of the Vredefort Dome. Walk past the World Heritage quarry and follow farm trails into the largest wild olive forest in South Africa.

  • Highlights:

  • DAY 2:

  • Wild Olive → Paradyskloof

  • The trail rises gently through rolling bushveld hills where history lies hidden in the landscape. Along the route you encounter Boer War trenches and a charming miniature church before descending into the peaceful valley of Paradyskloof

DAY 3:

  • Paradyskloof → Sunnyside

  • After breakfast at Venterskroon Inn, walkers choose their adventure. Continue on foot through valley trails or experience the Dome from the water with a peaceful rowing journey along the Vaal River

  • Riverside arrival at Sunnyside

  • DAY 4:

  • Sunnyside → Twane Bush Camp

  • Today’s trail climbs deeper into the crater landscape. Rocky paths and bushveld slopes lead to some of the highest viewpoints in the Dome, where endless ridges circle the horizon.Your Content Goes Here

  • Twane Bush Camp → Hadeda Creek
