BOE-BOE’S NEST is situated in the North West Province, 13 km outside Koster, on the Swartruggens road, approximately 180 km from Pretoria and Johannesburg.

Unfortunately not suitable for disabled persons – steps/rocky & uneven terrain.

RIVER CAMP:

  • There are two huts: THE NEST & SUNDOWNER CHALETS (4 Beds each)
  • This camp is situated on the banks of the Elands river. Bring own towels.
  • This is ideal for extended family groups/ small team building groups.
  • The Nest (open plan tree house for 4 persons). 2 X Single beds, 1x Bunk bed.
  • The Sundowner hut (open plan chalet for 4 persons) 4 X Single beds
  • These 2 units share an ablution block with 2 showers, 2 flush toilets and 2 hand basins.
  • They share a communal kitchen, a cosy enclosed lapa and boma area.
  • A fully equipped kitchen, with refrigerator, stove, cutlery & crockery.

  • Bring own dish washing soap and kitchen clothes.

  • This chalet has its own private amenities and can also be booked on its own/ separatelyfrom the Nest and Sundowner OR WITH River Camp – then for groups up to 14 persons.

  • Ramkat Chalet has 2 x bed rooms, one room with 1 X double bed and 2 X bunk beds, r room 2 has just 1 X bunk bed for 2..

  • Equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove, cooking utensils, cutlery & crockery.

  • One bathroom – 2 x toilettes, 1 x shower, 1 x hand basin.

  • Own braai & social area.  It is ideal for a private family and small groups.  

  • This unit is walking distance away from the Sundowner and Nest and can easily be used by one big group- booking the whole River Camp. (14 persons in total)

DINO RIVER CAMP:

All chalets – linen proved. Bring own towels!!

  • All three units are situated on the banks of the river with lovely decks and views on the river and accommodate 10 persons in total.

  • There are 3x separate chalets. (Anky, Stegi and Tritops)
  • Each unit has its own kitchen, bathroom and braai area. Linen, cutlery & crockery supplied.  Bring only own towels.  

  • Ideal for a group and/ or can be booked separately/ individually.

  • Anky: (sleeps 4) 2 separate bedrooms, 1 double bed and 2 singles.

  • Stegi: (sleeps 4) 2 separate bedrooms, 1 double bed and 2 singles.

  • Tritops: (sleeps 2)   open plan and with a double bed.

UITKYK COTTAGE:

(Accommodation for 4 to 16 persons).

  • This is an alone standing cottage on the edge of the kloof overlooking the valley.

  • It is close to the owners house.Sleeps 5 persons.

  • Two bed rooms (1 x double bed and 2 x singles) share one bathroom.  

  • Extra single bed in lounge area. Bring own towels.

  • The kitchenette is fully equipped. Linen, cutlery & crockery supplied.  

  • Braai facilities outside on the stoop.

“HIKERS” HOUSE:  

It accommodates 6 persons in a private chalet

  • 2 Separate bedrooms: Room 1: 1 x double bed and Room 2: 2 singles and 1 x bunk bed.(linen provided). There is electricity and electric lighting.  

  • Warm water provided “donkey” system. (The owner will be taking care of fire each afternoon). There is one bathroom inside.  

  • The open plan kitchen has a fridge, freezer and 2 plate stove, basic cooking utensils: pots, pans and kettle plus microwave, cutlery and crockery for 6, bring own braai tongues.

  • Braai facilities/ lapa outside.  Private splash pool in camp.

BUSH CAMP: (4X4 Vehicles only):

  • A private bush camp for campers – tent and 4×4 caravan, bush trailers only.

  • It is close to a big dam for fishing and canoeing.

  • Safe braai facilities, ablutions with hot/ cold a showers, hand basins and toilets.

  • Running water. Zink for dish washing.

  • This is Ideal for keen fishermen or campers who really like to have more privacy and peace.

ACTIVITIES

  • A “Jurasic Park Island” – a thatched lapa next to waterfall and rock pools, swimming pool and picnic facilities with “dinosaurs” as company.
  • Come walk freely – Wilderness trail and jeep tracks to old slate mine.
  • Fishing (bass, carp, barbell, kurper)– Fresh water / Elands river.
  • Mountain biking – bring own bikes
  • DSTV at Vinknes – bring own decoder, DSTV Card and AB cables (red/white/yellow)
  • TV with Open View at Vinknes available
  • Putt-Putt – bring own balls

  • Table Tennis at Vinknes

  • Excellent bird watching and Game Viewing on foot or mountain bike.

  • Star gazing at night – beautiful open night skies.

  • NO: Day Visitors, Pets, Loud Music, Bachelor Parties!!!!
